Homemade Applesauce

I love to make applesauce and it's so easy!! When apples are on sale, buy about two produce bags worth. In the morning throw the peeled, cored and cut up apples into a crock pot (all the way to the top), add a little water and some cinnamon if you like. Put the lid on and set the crockpot to low, and cook all day! At the end of the day, stir the apples to help break them up some (I leave them a little chunky) no need to add any sugar :)

As you can see, they cook down quite a bit. On the day that I cook it we have it for dessert, I serve it warm (right from the crockpot) with whipped cream on top...my kids just love it!!!

Being Thankful

I was soooo happy that my Homeschool Group found a Church to have our Art Classes at. We were all so very thankful that the Lord provided this for us so that we can continue to meet. D decided to make a little something for the Pastor of that church to show his appreciation.

Birthday Celebration

We celebrated D's birthday early because my hubby will be out of town on his real birthday. We went to Disneyland and had so much fun waiting in lines and fighting the crowds....Not!! You would think that with the kids in school it would be less crowded, but no. Anyway Happy 8th Birthday my sweet boy :)

Lizard Hunting

Everytime we come to the lake my little lizard hunter goes out and catches a bunch of lizards! He found 5 or 6 today, and his sister caught het first one, yeah!! What's one more mouth to feed?

First Day of School

On our first day of school we made yogurt parfaits in red, white & blue because we are studying US History. The kids had fun...although it is hard for them to get back into the swing of things.

My Doggies

BUDDY

This is my rescue dog Buddy, he is a Miniature Pinscher with a natural tail and ears, he is also on the larger side (17 pounds). We have had him for one year now (he is 3 years old) and he is so naughty...but we love him :) He loves the kids and they adore him, and he is such a "snuggle bug" with me. Every night he lays next to me, and in the winter he shivers when he is cold so he gets up on our bed and gets down into the covers for some warmth.

ROXY

This is my Roxy girl :) She is a pure German Shepherd, and she is beautiful and sweet. She is wet here from swimming so she looks a little crazy! She is almost 11 years old yet she looks so young, and she acts young as well. This dog could be in the water all the time if we let her, she loves to play fetch in the water with the kids and my husband. We have had her since she was 8 weeks old...she truly is our special girl :)

Organizing will have to wait

Today I will be helping my in-laws with a party they are having, so me and the kids will be there all day. My husband is working out of town the next two nights so it will just be me and the kids the rest of the week. Although with swimming lessons, tae kwon do and a beach day we will be pretty busy. I will have to get back to organizing next week...I only have four weeks until school starts! At least I have all my curriculum that I need, one less thing to worry about.
